1. Diagnosis before a final price

Photos and existing X-rays let the clinical team give you a preliminary plan and price range before you book travel. The final plan is confirmed only after an in-person examination and, where needed, a CBCT 3D scan of bone and nearby anatomy. If the examination changes the plan, the change and its cost are explained before any treatment starts.

2. A written, itemised plan before treatment

Every patient receives a written plan before treatment. It states:

• the treatment and the exact number of teeth, crowns, veneers or implants;
• the named materials and implant system;
• the number of visits and days in Istanbul;
• what is included, what is not, and any additional procedures that may be required;
• the warranty terms that apply.

If a clinic cannot put these points in writing, the price you were quoted is not yet a treatment plan.

3. Named materials, documented

Materials are named in the plan, not described as “premium”. E-Max restorations use Ivoclar IPS e.max lithium disilicate ceramic. Implant systems include Straumann, Nobel Biocare and Medigma, selected according to your bone, budget and case. Implant cases receive documentation of the system used, so any dentist at home can identify and maintain it.

4. Conservative preparation

Healthy tooth structure is preserved wherever the case allows. For suitable veneer cases, minimal preparation is used. When clinically appropriate, a reversible intraoral mock-up lets you review tooth length, shape and smile proportions before any irreversible preparation. Healthy teeth are not reduced to stubs for cosmetic crowns.

5. Implants are given time to heal

Full-arch treatment such as All-on-4 or All-on-6 follows a two-visit protocol. Implants and temporary teeth are placed on the first visit. The final fixed bridge is fitted on the second visit, usually after 3 to 6 months of healing, once the implants have integrated with the bone. Single-visit full-mouth protocols that ignore biological healing are not offered.

6. When we say no

A treatment is postponed or declined when it cannot be done safely or predictably. This includes:

• medical conditions that are not under control;
• requests to reduce healthy teeth for purely cosmetic crowns;
• timelines that would skip necessary healing;
• expectations the planned treatment cannot safely deliver.

7. Prices and currencies

All prices are set in euros and published on the 2026 price list. Figures in pounds, US dollars, Canadian dollars and Australian dollars are converted at the European Central Bank reference rate of 22 September 2026 (EUR 1 = USD 1.1463, GBP 0.8578, CAD 1.6099, AUD 1.6122) and rounded. Your written plan is issued in the currency you choose.

8. Warranty and aftercare

Warranty terms are provided in writing before treatment. They cover workmanship under normal use, subject to conditions such as attending check-ups and following aftercare instructions. Implant fixtures carry a lifetime written warranty from IST Smile Experts, and E-Max veneers and zirconia crowns carry a 10-year written warranty. A warranty does not guarantee biological healing, which also depends on your health, hygiene and habits. You leave Istanbul with written aftercare instructions and a direct contact with the coordination team.

9. How this website’s content is written

• Author: articles are written by the IST Smile Experts Clinical Team. We do not publish individual practitioner profiles.
• Dates: every article shows the date it was last updated. Prices are checked against the current price list.
• Numbers: we do not publish in-house success percentages or patient counts that cannot be verified. Where we cite outcomes, we cite published research.
• Reviews: we show reviews only where patients wrote them, on independent platforms.
• Corrections: if you find an error, tell us and it will be reviewed and corrected.

Do I need to pay a deposit before I travel?

No. No deposit is taken before your in-person examination in Istanbul.

Is the online quote the final price?

No. An online quote is a preliminary estimate based on your photos and X-rays. The final itemised price is confirmed after examination and any required imaging, before treatment starts.

Which materials does IST Smile Experts use?

Ivoclar IPS e.max for E-Max veneers and crowns, zirconia for zirconium crowns, and Straumann, Nobel Biocare or Medigma implant systems depending on the case. The materials are named in your written plan.

What warranty do dental implants have at IST Smile Experts?
